Therapy for teens, adults and families - Teen boy wearing a hoodie

My Approach

My training included learning about family systems, intergenerational family patterns and the intersectional ways identities can impact functioning. This means that even if you see me in an individual therapy context, I’m always thinking about your family of origin and how that connects to your relational needs for connection and healing. I utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches including talk therapy, sand tray, play therapy, expressive arts and EMDR.

My experience

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT #97190. I graduated from John F. Kennedy University with a M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2013. I’ve spent the past 10 years working in a variety of non-profit mental health agencies in the Bay Area. I’ve worked with a wide range of clients in schools, through Special Education programs and in the Juvenile Probation System. I have extensive experience working with children, teens and families. I completed the foundational EMDR trainings with the Parnell Institute in 2021 and am working towards EMDR Certification.

If you're looking for a sensitive therapist, you're in the right place. If you're looking for a LGBTQIA allied therapist, you're in the right place. If you're looking for a trauma-informed therapist, you're in the right place. If you're looking for a therapist with an anti-racist approach, you're in the right place. If you’re looking for a therapist who believes in health at every size, you’re in the right place.

I'm not just a therapist. When I'm not in the office, I like to spend time walking and hanging out with my two dogs. I also enjoy reading, baking, gardening, and crafting. I love watching plants grow and am always game to talk about any sort of gardening fails or accomplishments.

Trust that you can figure out what you need.
